COMPENSATORY AFFORESTATION

Many of the projects coming up on Narmada River and its tributaries involve submergence of forest land. In order to compensate the loss of forests Compensatory Afforestation works are being carried out on revenue and degraded forest lands under various projects. The progress of afforestation and the felling of trees under these projects is as follows :-

The effort and stress of the Govt. of M.P. is to usher a new era of development by expeditious completion of the projects of the Narmada Valley with the minimal inconvenience to the Project Affected Families.
